We are Sid (also known as Toad) & Pat Griffiths and live on eight acres of land in a beautiful spot at the foot of the Malvern Hills, in the southwest corner of Worcestershire, very close to the border with Hereford and Gloucester.
We have had animals for a number of years but were looking for an animal that could be kept on our smallholding and also make a living from it on our small acreage. Alpacas are ideal for smallholders and have the benefit of being extremely fascinating and intriguing to watch. They give us enormous pleasure.
Our herd started with two pregnant female Alpacas in 2007 and has gradually expanded.  We needed to live on the land to provide adequate care for our Alpacas and applied for temporary planning permission for a dwelling with an agricultural tie which we successfully obtained in 2008, In November 2011 we obtained permanent planning permission to continue or Alpaca enterprise.
